Ladbrokes Poker continues to offer great bonuses and money-added promotions through out the spring. Their $1,000,000 rake race, once slated to end soon, has been extended for another 5 months. The extension will pay an additional $5,000,000 to those playing poker on their site. To be eligible to win players must compete in cash games and accumulate rake in real money games. First place each month is an incredible $20,000 cash prize while anyone finishing in the top-50 is guaranteed at least $2,200.
The bad-beat jackpot was recently hit when “Tvj1964″ had his four Queens cracked by “carrotkid’s” four Aces. The loser in the hand earned $81,222.17 while the winner, carrotkid, took home an additional $40,611. The rest of the table had to “settle” for a share of the rest of the $220,000+ pool. The jackpot has been reset and is already over $70,000!
Scheduling for the 2009 Labrokes.com Irish Poker Festival has been released. Headlining the series is the €250,000 Guaranteed Main Event. The Irish Poker Festival will be had at the Irish National Events Centre in Killarney, CO Kerry, Ireland. Known as one of the best poker venues in Europe the Centre is in the heart of a vibrant hotel and leisure complex. Those winning an online package will stay at the Glenealge Hotel, adjacent to the INEC. Last year’s main event saw great success, with a huge field generating a €100,000 first prize. The festival is a three-day event to be held October 2nd-4th with the Main Event, a 1-hour blind structure event, ending on the final day.
There will be two other side events, a two day €270+30 tournament Saturday 3rd October and a one day €150+20 tournament on the 4th.
